Services

Power of One.

One student. One tutor. One plan that actually fits.

Our free programs stay free — but some students need a tutor all to themselves. Power of One is Black N Tampa's paid one-on-one tutoring service, and it accepts Step Up For Students scholarship funding where eligible. Funding and any family costs are confirmed before services begin. We're an approved provider for tutoring, enrichment programs, and music instruction.

What's included

Paid tutoring with the same standard we hold our free programs to — and scholarship funding accepted.

Step Up For Students

Use your scholarship funding.

If your child receives a Florida scholarship through Step Up For Students, tutoring is an approved use of funds. We'll help you find us in the EMA marketplace, set up payment through your scholarship account, and handle the paperwork — you handle the homework questions.

  • FES-EO and FES-UA scholarships
  • PEP (Personalized Education Program) funds
  • Unique Abilities (FES-UA) accounts
