Founded in the streets
Started as a guide to Black-owned businesses, organizers, and organizations in Tampa after the murder of George Floyd.
- 2021
Garden restored in Belmont Heights
Brought a neglected community garden back into production to push back on neighborhood food insecurity.
- 2023
Black Voices for Black Justice Fund awardee
National recognition and funding for organizing and community-building work in Tampa Bay.

Programs into schools
Free tutoring across Hillsborough County classrooms, and the Books to Barbers literacy pilot launched for middle schoolers.

Rooted & Well relaunch
Free mental-health care rebuilt with the FAMU Department of Psychology and Salt & Light Collaborative.

We're building our first published annual report covering spending, program participation, and outcomes. Until it's posted here, email us and we'll answer any funding question directly — including a written breakdown of how a specific gift was used.
